It’s been a funny ole day! One filled with happiness and sadness.
I’m alot better than I was (It seems the sore throat, fever, flu thing is everywhere in the UK right now!) I had a serious conversation about book publishing (but dont want to say more than that right now!).
Someone made an offer on my house (although there is PLENTY of room for improvement on it!!) I ended a relationship that was more draining than uplifting and I am definitely moving away from Women Internet Marketers and closing it all down to focus on writing in the area of personal growth.
A day of happy events and a sad one so what do I focus on? The answer is none of those….
Firstly it would be easy to focus on the negative because as humans that’s what we are naturally inclined to do but it’s much better to see the whole day for what it is…. one day in my life. Nothing good about it and nothing bad. It just is!
I can celebrate and be thankful for everything that has happened because it all happens for a reason and as long as I learn a lesson from it then I will continue to grow.
I was once told that the only difference between success and failure is learning. As long as you learn a lesson from what has happened you will always continue to be successful. Once you stop learning lessons or if you never bother to look for them then you remain stuck and never grow.
We are all capable of doing very stupid things and making very huge mistakes so that also makes us capable of learning from them and making a fresh start (My fresh start from my stupid mistakes started 28th November 2008!). So what that means is there is hope for us all 🙂
Hindsight is a wonderful tool. It will take you back and make you look at what you did wrong. It will make you wish that you didn’t do that one thing, or say that last word, or spend that last lot of savings the way you did and if you could only have your time again…. if you could only go back and change it you just wouldn’t do the same thing.
Well, chances are you probably would… because the whole thing was set up so that you learn a lesson so don’t beat yourself up too much (talking from experience here 🙂 ) just know that it’s all part of the process.
As long as we continue to learn our future can only get better so our mistakes are actually a great tool to help us get to where we want to be. Our mistakes are an important part of our ultimate success.
What would be really stupid is making the same mistake twice 🙂
